Are you doing what you were born to do right now? Most people will say, no. Everyone finds their path on their own time but those who seek it will arrive sooner. We all have the entrepreneurial fire in our belly but you have to light the fire.

I have 15 years of professional business experience, with 10+ being at WebMD, building strategies for some of the biggest brands in the world, such as Walgreens, Cancer Treatment Centers of America, Dove, CVS, Zyrtec, Purina and many more.

My first entrepreneurial venture I co-founded was a record label, AlterImage Recordings. A global business built from the ground up, focused on music production and distribution. We released more than 36 artist EPs (Extended Plays) working with some of the most talented producers in the world. I have also consulted on user experience and design for a range of fields such as legal and athletics.

I’m a published author on, Thrive Global, Influencive, Addicted 2 Success, Mongobay, and Elephant Journal. My expertise is in social entrepreneurship, business development, graphic design, user experience and marketing strategy.

MY STORY

Living in New York City and Philadelphia, over time, I grew so fed up with the 9-5 hustle and high pace demand that my wife and I decided to take a trip to a very remote area of Costa Rica so that we could completely disconnect.

That trip changed my life.

At least 70% of the entrepreneurs I’ve interviewed to date had an “ah ha” moment inspired by travel.

I was literally sitting in an almond cove where the rainforest meets the ocean. It was silent from the usual city sounds we have grown accustomed to, and alive with waves crashing, monkeys howling, birds singing, and warm breezes blowing by. Nobody was around, at all.

As I sat with my thoughts I couldn’t help but feel a grand sense of relief.

THE BIG QUESTIONS

I wanted to know why we do the things the way we do? Why was I living the life I was living?

A big question I had was, what was I going to be doing in 10 years?

Around the year 2010, social entrepreneurship caught my attention. People using entrepreneurial skills to innovate new ideas that solve social problems. With so many challenges facing people, animals and our natural world, this made sense to me. It created direction and real purpose. It was business with purpose.

Since then, I’ve been on a mission to figure out what I could do to make a living and a meaningful difference.

I’ve volunteered my services, partnered in a legal startup to help people, ran a socially conscious blog and rainforest protection brand, wrote guest articles and before all that I even owned a house music record label.
At the time there was very limited information or direction on the path of becoming a social entrepreneur.

After years of trial and error with ideas like hemp water bottles, conscious news websites, rainforest advocacy, or consulting for good causes, I couldn’t find my purpose.

I carried a small notebook around everywhere I went and always took notes while reading or listening to podcasts. I took self-inventory and really dialed into what was important to me.

Finally, while riding the train to NYC one day I was listening to a podcast and the idea of Change Creator was born.

MY PROMISE TO YOU

Many of the social entrepreneurs out there who are literally impacting millions of lives by tackling social issues of all kinds don’t get in the spotlight like the Marc Cuban’s of the world. But they are true hero’s. We will shine a light on those people and uncover how they do what they do.

Change Creator is what gets me up in the morning and I promise to work hard everyday to continuously bring you the best magazine and resources possible that offer you what others do not – a premium resource focused on business for social good.

There is no magic formula to success. It really comes down to having a vision, hard work, courage and perseverance. It’s essential to have the right tools, surround yourself with people who lift you up and have been down the road you want to travel on.

Every amazing story we share of someone’s success all began with a decision to start taking action and a first step towards fulfilling that vision.

Your life is whatever you decide it should be. What will be your legacy?
